The Partnership between Thomas Brookes and Thomas Adams was established in Birmingham in 1853, and in 1920 the Company was incorporated as Brookes & Adams Limited. Manufacture of yacht and boat fittings at Brookes & Adams Limited commenced in 1935. Products at that time were usually made to the design and specification of boat builders. In the 1940's a range of Yacht Fittings of our own design was introduced which has developed with the growth of the leisure market. In addition to the range of fittings illustrated in this web site, many components are produced for other well-known names in Industry, as well as for the Ministry of Defence and its subcontractors. Brookes & Adams Limited specialize in the manufacture of hot stampings in brass, naval brass, manganese bronze, aluminium bronze and copper materials, as well as zinc alloy pressure die-castings, thermo-plastic and thermo-setting plastic mouldings. Machining and tool assembly is also undertaken as may be required by the Customer. All production tooling for the items which we manufacture are made in our comprehensively equipped toolroom to drawings from our own design office. |
